Dave Dave

Dave is one of those super cool people who gets on with everyone and is possibly the nicest guy in the world (if you are ever in a pickle I can't think of anyone more likely to come and rescue your ass). Turns out he is also really, really good at writing simple pop songs which go right to the heart. The tracks that feature on Brian 50 are Daves first to be released but I have a hard drive full of fantastic music just waiting to be put out there.

Roy Roy

Roy is another super talented pianist who has never released any music before. I am hoping to coax him back in front of a piano so that we can release more of his fantastic piano music.

Runge Kutta Runge Kutta

Runge Kutta is a musical deviant with no talent to speak of. He plans on taking over the world one CD player at a time but in the mean time is happy releasing a myriad of styles none of which relate to previous releases.

New Volunteer New Volunteer

New Volunteer are an amazing rock band. They are totally incredible live and write these fantastic songs which are both massively complicated and yet totally humable. They have an amazing album out called Remote Control Parade which should definitely be checked out. Front man Chris has also released as Mellafone and put out a self released EP under the name Volunteer (before realising it was already taken). The EP is similar to the first track on Brian 50 completely self recorded in his spare room and sound all the better for all. You should
definitely ask Chris for a copy if you like what you hear on Brian 50. For further info on New Volunteer check newvolunteer.net

Pieman Pieman

I first heard Pieman beat box when I was lecturing him. I subsequently bought his album which is really good. I am delighted that he created the introduction to Brian 50 which is a really fitting start to the Brian Records media empire. If you like what you hear you should definitely check myspace.com/piemanbeatbox

Peter Broderick Peter Broderick

Peter Broderick has been one of my absolute favourite artists of the last few years. His breadth of music is fantastic and watching him live is absolutely spellbinding. Peter really kindly wrote a track for Brian the music club which features on Brian 50. If you haven't already heard him (which I am sure you have) you should check his myspace.

Nils Frahm
Nils Frahm

Nils Frahm writes beautiful piano music. He is super talented, so when I asked if he could write a couple of songs which were less then 2 minutes long he exceeded himself with two of the most wonderfully optimistic songs I have ever heard.

Machinefabriek Machinefabriek

Machinefabriek is both an extremely talented and also hugely productive artist (boomkat came up with over 100 releases, even if that includes physical and mp3 that is still a lot). I have loved his work for years and have tried desperately hard to keep up with his release rate. I was therefore delighted when he agreed to write a couple of songs for Brian 50, however above and beyond this I have been bowled over by his generosity as a person. I hope to release more by Machinefabriek in the future.

Gareth Davies Gareth Davis

I don't know too much about Gareth yet. The following is definitely true: Gareth plays clarinet, Gareth knows machinefabriek, Gareth will be appearing on Brian Records 0000003.

From these facts I am able to extrapolate the following as being almost certainly true but not as of yet substantiated: Gareth is a really nice guy and his friends call him Gareth Terresa. Gareth prefers Mexican fast food to any other kind (this has now been proven as a fact). Gareth doesn't have a favourite Beatles album, he thinks they are all good/bad. Gareth's favorite Thundercat is Pantero. Gareth is super cool.

Ralph Etter

Ralph likes to get up in the morning, if he knows, that there is still some fresh milk in the fridge, to bowl a nice big espresso. he grew up in Switzerland and misses the mountains in flat Berlin. he is very choosy and his favorite food is waffles. he thinks, time is running much to fast. that's way he always runs behind the time. he has much too much records and still buys more, stupid fool he is. he loves to watch the world to find the little things that makes it special. maybe this is one of the main reasons that he become a film director.
